The Regent Porto Montenegro is tucked away on the palm-lined beaches of Kotor Bay, against a background of verdant mountains.
Some have even referred to the Gulf of Kotor, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, as the southernmost fjord in Europe because of its beauty. Formerly a Yugoslav naval post, Porto Montenegro is now a westward-facing superyacht harbor with more than a kilometer of coastline. It’s a classy new neighborhood, with boutique shops dotted all throughout the seaside village.
Five floors high and capped with a terracotta roof, The Regent Porto Montenegro is designed like a Venetian palazzo. Every room is decorated to make you feel like you’re on a luxury cruise ship, and the hotel’s three wings are arranged either side of a lobby with soaring ceilings. Original shipbuilding blueprints decorate the walls, complementing the hardwood flooring and handcrafted Mediterranean furniture that give this space its own character.
Whether you’re looking out at it from your room’s balcony or sitting at the table on the patio, the sea is never far away. Even though it’s frequented by superyachts—further contributing to the area’s air of exclusivity—the marina rarely experiences a swell in visitor traffic. In fact, it seems like the ultimate spot to relax.
Who for
People of all ages, from families to business travelers to affluent boat owners spending the night on land.
Accommodation
There are a total of 175 guest rooms and suites available among the hotel’s three buildings (Venezia, Aqua, and Baia). The stunning scenery of Kotor Bay and the water served as inspiration for the hotel’s Venezia rooms and suites, which have a sophisticated nautical motif.
Taking their cue from the Italian Riviera, the rooms in the Aqua and Baia wings provide sophisticated contemporary luxury around the tranquil pool club and swimming pool.
The Venezia Deluxe Room with Sea View was perfect for us since it had a spacious outside patio. Stunning views of the Adriatic Sea’s Boka Bay can be seen from here. Inside, you’ll find a haven of soothing blues and beige tones on plush carpets and sleek, nautical-style furniture. Above the bed is a sail-like linen canopy.
There is a shipping-style hatch that opens into the bedroom from the bathroom, where you’ll find a big tub, a walk-in rain shower, and double wash basins. A Nespresso machine, mineral water, and a huge LED TV are provided at no cost for your enjoyment. The beautiful wooden furniture that was custom made for the hotel is a genuine standout.
Food & Drink
Chandeliers and mosaics in the main restaurant, Murano, are inspired by Venetian glassmaking history. Dishes are carefully created to highlight the best seasonal ingredients. The fresh fish on the menu is cooked with organic herbs and spices grown in the area, giving it a unique touch to traditional Adriatic fare. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.
Freshly baked breads and savory foods, cakes and pastries, and a variety of home-made beverages can all be found at the Gourmet Corner, which is both a patisserie and a gourmet delicatessen. Pizzas, pastas, burgers, and meats and seafood cooked over an open flame are served fresh all day long.
Refreshing Mediterranean small plates are available from the Pool Bar on the pool deck. Fresh salads, an assortment of small dishes, artisan sandwiches, and gourmet burgers can all be found on the menu.
Convenient for a stylish pre-dinner drink or a decadent nightcap, the Onyx Bar & Garden by Beluga is located just off the lobby by the water. Snacks and inventive cocktails created by trained bartenders.
Enjoy the best champagnes, cognacs, and Scotch whiskies in the world in the Library Bar, which has opulent decor evocative of a classic gentlemen’s club. The club’s vast cigar selection adds to the refined ambiance.

In its distinctive Regent Spa, the hotel takes a comprehensive approach to relaxation by blending age-old practices with modern techniques and organic, locally sourced products. Three treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room, a hammam, an experience shower, a fitness studio, and a nail salon are all part of the facilities.
The fitness center is located on the ground level and is outfitted with cutting-edge Technogym equipment. On demand, we can arrange for personal trainers as well as group and private yoga sessions.
