Great views of a city known for its skyscrapers can be had from PocketSquare. Sipping drinks on a balcony overlooking London’s famous skyline is undeniably a special pleasure. Placed carefully, freestanding displays make it possible to accomplish precisely that, complete with accompanying selfies.

Verdict:
Small yet ambitious, it is inviting while steadfastly attempting to project an image of exclusivity (a word that appears on its homepage). If you’re seeking a more upscale, “high life” experience in East London, PocketSquare is a great alternative with reasonably priced drinks and snacks (the ninth floor of the Hyatt Place London City East, to be exact). Its sophistication and depth set it apart from the many other hips East London local pubs.
Open Hours are 5 p.m. to midnight on weekdays and 3 p.m. to midnight on Saturdays. The typical DJ schedule is Thursday through Saturday nights.
